DONGFENG EV Trip To Ilocos!

Preparing for an extended road trip with colleagues is a blend of excitement and practicality. Ensuring that our vehicle is in top-notch condition is the initial focus— checking the engine, tires, and fuel levels for a trouble-free journey. As we go and size the road on an electric and hybrid vehicle road trip to a rural area is a pioneering adventure that seamlessly integrates sustainable technology with the serene charm of the countryside.

This eco-conscious journey not only minimizes our carbon footprint but also allows us to appreciate the untouched beauty of rural surroundings without compromising on modern comforts.

Our first destination was the Safari Hotel. Just as Safari Hotel is committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests, the electric and hybrid vehicle industry aims to establish a seamless and inviting experience for drivers.

Much like the hotel strives to make every guest feel at home, electric and hybrid vehicles aim to create a driving atmosphere that is not only efficient and sustainable but also familiar and user-friendly. The shared aspiration is to build meaningful connections, with electric and hybrid vehicles offering drivers exceptional experiences throughout their journey, contributing to a more sustainable and enjoyable transportation experience.

Certainly, both the team and guests require accommodation. Thanks to Vigan Plaza Hotel, everyone had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the well-maintained Spanish colonial and Asian architecture. Much like the Vigan Plaza Hotel stands as a witness to a rich history spanning over one hundred and thirty years, electric and

hybrid cars represent a transformative shift in the automotive landscape.

Just as the hotel preserves the essence of Spanish colonial and Asian architecture, these eco-friendly vehicles encapsulate a commitment to sustainable practices and innovation. As the Vigan Plaza Hotel reflects cultural transitions, electric and hybrid vehicles symbolize a transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable future for transportation.

Similarly, in the realm of automobiles, electric and hybrid cars stand out as unique and pioneering innovations in the automotive landscape. Just as Vigan distinguishes itself as the Philippines' sole surviving historic city from the 16th-century Spanish colonial era, electric and hybrid vehicles represent a modern and progressive shift in transportation, embodying a commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking practices.

Our next destination takes us to Pinakbet Farm, where we indulge in an authentic Filipino dining experience set against the rustic backdrop and refreshing breeze. Pinakbet, a traditional Filipino vegetable dish originating from the Ilocos region,

features a savory blend of squash, eggplant, string beans, okra, and bitter melon stir- fried with shrimp paste (bagoong) and occasionally flavored with pork or beef, creating a rich and distinctive taste.

As everyone enjoys the historic and cultural architecture of Vigan, everyone spent the evening at BarTech, reveling in the beauty of the scenery at night with food and drinks.

Our journey leads us to the renowned Banaoang Bridge, praised for its splendid engineering and architectural design. Spanning 456 meters, the bridge, situated in Barangay Banaoang, Santa, Ilocos Sur, stands as a significant landmark in

Ilocandia.

Although no longer in use, having been replaced by a newer bridge connecting Santa and Bantay, it remains a testament to historical and engineering excellence. During the tour, the guests sought to

explore the limits of an electric vehicle's range and speed. Nanobox, in particular, stood out, leaving the guests in awe. This car demonstrated impressive capabilities, navigating inclines of 25 to 30 degrees. Notably, during the journey to Vigan Safari Gallery, where the road conditions were

steep, dusty, and rough—typically challenging for vehicles without large tires —Nanobox excelled. It maintained air conditioning and comfortably

accommodated a full load of passengers, defying expectations given its size.

For extended road trips like this, careful planning is essential, especially considering Nanobox's cruising range of 351 km. It truly underscores the need for strategic trip arrangements to fully appreciate the vehicle's capabilities during long drives. On the other hand, Forthing Friday delivered a remarkable experience when guests decided to test its capabilities to the fullest. In a wide, traffic-free space, the guests confidently engaged the accelerator, effortlessly propelling the vehicle up to 150 km/h.

Another noteworthy feature is its impressive drive range. The journey from Ortigas Ave to Vigan spans approximately 450 to 500 km, and despite the car claiming a 630 km drive range, it left Ortigas with a 95% charge. Remarkably, after traveling to Vigan, it still had 26% battery remaining, and the two-day tour consumed just 15% of its battery. Aeolus Huge, a hybrid car, is on a different scale. Imagine this car journeying from Manila to Ilocos, and navigating Ilocos Sur with just over half a tank of fuel.

Astonishingly, it effortlessly covered the entire trip. What's more, it showcased remarkable performance, smoothly accelerating up to 150 km/h, putting it on par with Forthing Friday--- and may even be better. As claimed by Dongfeng Motors Philippines, its performance is marvelous!

Featuring a 10.25-inch LCD instrument + 10.25-inch central control screen, a 360- degree panoramic camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Heat pump system, and ACC, it offers a comprehensive suite of features.

Bringing together the optimum blend of features, this remarkable hybrid not only presents an impressive electric range but does so without putting a strain on your budget. Join us as we uncover the seamless harmony between sustainability and practicality, delving into the cutting-edge technology, expansive design, and fuel efficiency that position Aeolus Huge as a game-changer in the realm of hybrid

driving.

The dimensions of the Aeolus Huge measure 4720 x 1910 x 1702, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm. It features a 53L fuel tank and operates on a Mach double engine 1.5 (four cylinders). The hybrid vehicle comes equipped with a dashboard boasting

a 12.3-inch twin-screen setup, featuring a screen for infotainment and another for the instrument panel.

Noteworthy is the panoramic sunroof, aptly

named the "Mirror of the Sky," ideal for extended drives, especially given its impressive cruising range of 1250 km. This 5- seater vehicle delivers a combined power output of 241hp and 540Nm of torque.

Choose from a range of colors including Blue/Silver, Aurora Green, Gentry Ink Blue, Ceramic White, Galaxy Grey, and Inkstone Black.

Navigating winding roads and open fields, the electric vehicle not only contributes to a cleaner environment but also allows for a deeper connection with the rural beauty, where each turn reveals a new vista and every charging stop becomes an opportunity to appreciate the simplicity andrichness of rural life.

It's a road trip that not only traverses physical distances but also bridges the gap between eco-conscious exploration and the untouched allure of the countryside. As we progress toward a more

environmentally friendly future, embarking on a journey in an electric car signifies more than just a simple road trip; it reflects our dedication and commitment to a sustainable tomorrow.
