The launch of the Camaro marks the return of the iconic supercar in the Philippines. First introduced in the country in 2010, the Camaro RS shows off its aggressive new looks combined with renowned performance and enhanced technology.

Iconic to Its Core

The Chevrolet Camaro is more than just an American muscle car. It has helped shape the automotive industry in the US, inspired generations of performance car enthusiasts, and even influenced pop culture – making the Camaro a highly coveted vehicle to this very day.

Born out of competition, the Camaro was designed to be a leader in the personal coupe market. Since Chevrolet sold the first Camaro in 1967, more than 5 million units of the vehicle have conquered open and city roads in various parts of the world. In a span of more than 50 years and six generations, the Camaro has won various accolades including Motor Trend’s 2014 Best Driver’s Car award – making the vehicle the first American-brand car to receive it.

Today, the Camaro continues to dominate the road with its thrilling driving dynamics and fierce sporty design.

The Heart of a Sports Car

The latest Camaro RS offering from Chevrolet Philippines is powered by a 2.0L DOHC VVT direct injection turbo engine that delivers 275 horsepower and 398 Nm of torque. Coupled with an 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, the Camaro inspires a responsive and efficient everyday drive on the freeway.

The Camaro is fitted with high performance Brembo® brakes featuring 4-piston calipers, promising track enthusiasts with serious stopping power while maintaining street drivability.

The Mark of An Athlete

The Camaro was designed to be an iconic masterpiece. With its sculpted hood, boldly reimagined grilles, piercing LED headlamps, heritage-inspired taillamps, and muscular flanks, the high performance vehicle is guaranteed to make an unmistakable impression on the road.

Complementing its dramatic and contemporary architecture is the RS package that highlights the Camaro’s sporty attitude. 5-spoke 20-inch machined wheels, LED tail lamps, decklid spoiler, polished honeycomb grille, illuminated Camaro sill plates, RS badge, and black front and rear Chevrolet bowtie emblems complete the Camaro’s athletic style.

Inside, the sixth generation muscle car features a refined cockpit optimized for performance driving – leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, black leather interior panel, and custom leather-trimmed dashboard and console. The driver sport buckets memory seat features an 8-way power adjust and ventilated with cooling and heating, while the passenger sport buckets seat features a 6-way power adjust with cooling and heating ventilation.

A Modernized Muscle

The Camaro offers premium and intuitive technologies that complete one’s driving experience. Slated with an 8-inch touchscreen display featuring the latest Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System with Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM compatibility, the vehicle allows for hand-free access information, entertainment, and phone connectivity. The Camaro is fitted with premium Bose® 9-speaker sound system to further elevate the driving experience inside the vehicle.

The Camaro comes with a digital pit crew through its Head-Up Display, which offers three different views and projects data near your line of sight on the windshield. Its adjustable positioning and brightness keep the driver informed on speed, turn-by-turn directions, audio information, fuel level, and gear selection while focusing on the road ahead.

Its 8-inch reconfigurable driver information display with digital and analog gauges links to Driver Mode Selector that allows one to choose between various vehicle characteristics for a full customized driving experience.

A Winner in Safety

The Camaro makes road safety a top priority. The American muscle car is packed with a host of advanced safety technologies including StabiliTrak® System, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Engine Immobilizer, Rear Parking Sensors, and built-in Reversing Camera. The Camaro also comes with a special Chevrolet warranty of five years or 100,000 kms., whichever comes first.

Iconic Comes In Many Forms

Chevrolet is a brand built on innovation, ingenuity, and leadership. Since its founding in 1911, the bowtie brand has introduced iconic vehicles that paved the way for modern lifestyle and performance cars that conquer roads in more than 100 countries worldwide.

In the Philippines, the Chevrolet Camaro joins the bowtie brand’s league of lifestyle and performance vehicles: The Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Trax, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Sail, and Chevrolet Malibu.

Icons at the MIAS

The world’s fastest-growing vehicle segment is the sports utility vehicle (SUV) and it was born wearing a bowtie. In 1935, Chevrolet introduced the Suburban Caryall, an eight-passenger vehicle built on a half-ton commercial truck chassis. Today, the Chevrolet Trailblazer takes decades of Chevrolet SUV expertise and applies it to a tough yet refined SUV package perfect for modern customers.

Alongside Chevrolet’s leadership in the SUV segment is the brand’s more than 100 years of building strong, dependable, and legendary trucks. The truck heritage DNA runs through every piece of metal of the Chevrolet Colorado. With the power and durability of the latest pickup truck offering from Chevrolet – the Chevrolet Colorado High Country Storm – the bowtie brands offers the market with a seriously capable truck that you can have fun with.

The Corvette is the world’s longest running continuously produced sports car and the best-selling sports car in America, commanding a third of the segment. Corvette’s legacy was forged in 1953 when it was introduced at the General Motors Motorama show in New York City. The Corvette Stingray Coupe is the latest iteration of the award-winning seventh generation of the legendary car. Each has been defined by all-new or significantly revised design, architecture and technology features – including powertrain and chassis/suspension technologies – that have helped Corvette maintain its position as the best-selling premium sports car in America.
